Alcohol company eyes factory in E.B. Magalona-A A +A

MAYOR David Albert Lacson said Thursday the Asian Alcohol Corporation is eyeing to put up a factory in Barangay Gahit, E.B. Magalona town, Negros Occidental.
Lacson said the company is set to conduct a feasibility study of the project site, which is between 15 and 18 hectares.
"We hope everything will materialize within the year," he said.
Lacson added the company is planning to build a port with their factory.
Meanwhile, Lacson clarified that he is not running for congressman of the Third District.
"If Albee is still there I'm not running for congressman since we are good friends. He should be there because he is a good man. If Albee is not there I might run," said Lacson, who on his third and last term.
He refused to reveal whom he will endorse to be his successor as mayor of E.B Magalona.
"Maybe it's not a Lacson but somebody who has the qualifications and is fit for the position," the mayor said.
