3 nabbed in village drug bust-A A +A

THREE persons, one of them a minor, were arrested by operatives of Special Operations Group (SOG) in a buy-bust operation at Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2, Bacolod City Thursday.
Police identified two of the suspects as Edgar Altobar, 32, and Mary Dulce Romano, 22, both residents of Barangay 2.
Superintendent Jefferson Descallar, head of the Bacolod City Police Office-SOG, said Sunday that Altobar was arrested when he handed to police poseur-buyer a plastic sachet of suspected shabu in exchange of P400 marked money.
Police recovered from Altobar’s possession 26 heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu, two small unsealed plastic sachets with traces of suspected shabu, nine improvised lighters, 16 units of cellular phones, eight wristwatches, two silver necklaces, a bracelet, P7, 870, an improvised firearm with five live ammunition of .38 caliber as well as the P400 marked money.
Descallar said Romano and a minor were arrested for visiting a drug-den.
They are preparing the documents for the filing of charges against the suspects, who are detained at the lock up cell of Police Station 2 (PS2).
Meanwhile, a 45-year-old man was also arrested in a joint operation by operatives of Police Station 5, Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) and Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) at Purok 6, Barangay Granada, Bacolod City on Friday morning.
Senior Inspector Leo Canag, commander of Police Station 5 (PS5), said Ricardo Agana alias Ricky Navarro was arrested in his house for planting of suspected marijuana.
He said they recovered 37 suspected marijuana plants from the possession of Agana, who is detained at the lock up cell of PS5. (MAP)
