Noppo to deploy 312 cops for Panaad-A A +A

THE Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Noppo) will deploy 312 police officers to secure the 2014 Panaad sa Negros 2014 on March 31 to April 6 at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
The deployment was decided in a conference held Thursday at the Noppo Conference Room at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. attended by police commissioned officers (PCOs) who were designated as team leaders, representatives from Bacolod City Police Office, Philippine Coast Guard 6 K9 Unit, Panaad Security Office, Philippine Army, and Bureau of Fire Protection, among others.
Twenty-five PCOs and 225 police non-commissioned officers (PNCOs) will be divided into 14 teams and will be positioned in 14 key sectors forming layers of security rings.
Teams for airport security and check points on roads going to Bacolod City were also formed, said Supt. Alexander Munoz, Noppo public information officer.
He added that 62 more policemen coming from city and municipal police stations in the province will augment the security teams.
A nine-man team of the Philippine Army will also be deployed to conduct patrol while personnel of BFP and volunteers of Amity Volunteer Fire Brigade will be positioned strategically to respond to any untoward incident.
Senior Supt. Milko Lirazan, acting provincial director of Noppo, is the Task Force commander.
