THE Korean Embassy has confirmed that there was no foul play in the death of a Korean national Se In Jang, whose body was found inside his cottage at Mambukal Resort in Murcia, Negros Occidental last week.
Murcia town investigator Senior Police Officer 2 (SPO2) Jovito Tejado said the Korean Embassy made the confirmation after they sent to their office in Manila the diary of Se In Jang.
Jang's body was already in advanced state of decomposition when it was discovered by a room boy on February 27. He was found with a necktie tied to the head board of his bed. Read more here.
Tejado said the Korean Embassy contacted the Murcia Police Station and asked them to send a copy of the diary through e-mail.
Tejado added the embassy replied confirming that what was written in the diary was a suicide note, but the Murcia police has yet to receive a copy of its English translation.
The report of the Korean Embassy confirmed their initial investigation, showing that based on the statements of tour guide Richard Sadsad, he saw the Korean writing something on his diary the last night they were together on February 23.
Sadsad also asked Jang if he was writing a love letter, but he just looked at him and smiled, Tejado said.
