BAC continue bidding for P87M generator sets-A A +A

THE Provincial Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) proceeded with the bidding for the P87-million generator sets for the Negros First Cyber Center a day after an unidentified man snatched the bid documents of one of the bidders Tuesday morning.
BAC chairperson Lucille Pines said the bidders Gendiesel Philippines Inc. and Dynamic Builders and Construction Co. Gendiesel submitted their bids with the lowest bidding price.
Pines said the winner will be determined after a week of evaluation.
The evaluation of the specifications of the machines offered by Gendiesel and Dynamic Builders will be conducted by a technical working group led by the Provincial Engineer's Office.
The lowest responsive bid will be determined and the winner will be announced within seven days, Pines said.
The appraised contract budget of the project is P87 million – P78 million for the four generator sets, and P9 million for the synchronizing panels.
Gendiesel submitted a total bid of P79,850,888, including P71,050,888 for the generator sets and P8,800,000 for two units of synchronizing panels.
Dynamic Builders and Construction Co. submitted a total bid of P86,900,000 – P77,950,000 for the generator sets and P8,950,000 for the synchronizing panels.
The installation of generator sets is part of phase two construction of the three-storey cyber center located at the Paglaum Sports Complex in Bacolod City.
The target start of operations is April.
