Politicians wish for clean polls

SOME politicians say they hope to enjoy positive change for the New Year as well as clean, honest and responsible elections in the May 2013 elections.

Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson wished that the 2013 will be a better year for everyone, especially in health, business, work and family.

He said that the City Council achieved much in 2012 by passing the Revenue Code and the 2013 Executive budget. The amendment of the Revenue Code will take effect after its publication.


He advised the businessmen to pay their business tax after the publication of the amended version of the Revenue Code, Sayson said. This will fall on January 10, 2013, he added.

Magbinuligay Kita sa Kauswagan (MKK) mayoralty candidate Monico Puentevella said that 2012 was not that good to his family, as they lost two of his brothers-in-law, Rolly and Rudy Dizon, however, he hopes that 2013 will be the best year for everyone, especially for the economy.

He also wished for unity in Bacolod City after the May 2013 polls and further hopes for a clean and honest election.

Independent candidate Renecito Novero said he also wished that election will be responsible, intelligent and conscientious.

MKK Vice Mayoralty candidate Vladimir Gonzalez said he hopes for more unity towards achieving positive change in the community.
