ROY Cajilig and I have been good friends since we were in college at the University of St. La Salle. Although we didn’t belong to the same batch, we still managed to greet each other in campus and talk once in a while.

Roy studied Nursing while I took up Agricultural Business Management.

After college, it was only two years ago that we met again.

Roy has been working at PAGCOR for more than 20 years now. He used to be assigned in Manila and other branches.

He is currently assigned at PAGCOR-Bacolod as supervisor of Treasury Department.

As a friend, he is so sweet and caring. When he goes to my house, he always brings food and we talk and laugh like there’s no tomorrow.

With Roy around, you would feel that you are in a comedy bar because there isn’t a boring minute with him.

He has an adopted son named John Rey, whom he loves very much. He is his inspiration and he performs the responsibilities of a father and mother for John Rey. Roy even took up basic cooking at West Visayas State University.

Roy celebrated his birthday recently with a dinner at L'Sea attended by family and friends.

But before the party, he shared his blessings with Bacolod Boys Home where he brought snacks. He ate together with the orphaned and abandoned boys.

Roy was very happy on his special day for it was a celebration of life and sharing of blessings.
