THE Association of Negros Producers (ANP) awarded yesterday the winners of the 24th Bulawan Awards during their closing rites at Robinsons Place Bacolod.
The Bulawan winners per category are:
Gifts & Housewares: Table Top/Gifts—Babylans Cococrafts and NVC Foundation; Home Furnishings—Artikulo;
Fashion & Garments: Garments—Negros Mayu; Fashion Jewelry— Masaste Arts & Crafts; Bags & Footwear—Kiculo Crafts; Novelty, Accessories, Travel & Luggage—Vito Prints;
Furniture & Furnishings: Furniture—Art Energy; Luminary— Hacienda Crafts; Special Award (Using of Raw Materials from Yolanda)—Art Energy
Food Industry: Pastries—Virgie’s Homemade Products; Confectionary—Mamabels Home Garden; Deli—T-Flavors;
Health & Wellness—Fresh Start Organics
The judging was done yesterday morning. The judges for food category were—Chef Richard Ynayan, Chef Friday Hojilla, and Chef Nico Millanes; for furniture and luminary—Mon Pabilon, Rita Bunos, Rizalino Alisbo, and Rene Hinojales;
For home furnishing/gifts—Bamboo Tunogbanua, Ma. Isabel Tesoro, and Councilor Jocelle Sigue; for fashion and garments—Lino Ramos, Kelly Cuachon, and Maryann Abello.
The Bulawan Awards of ANP is an annual product design and competition which recognizes outstanding products by its members. It is designed to encourage ingenuity, creativity and commitment in terms of product innovation, packaging and the development of new market-driven products that are competitive in both domestic and international markets.
The 24th Bulawan Awards showcased product designs of more than 80 ANP members using indigenous materials from areas struck by super typhoon Yolanda last year.
These same Bulawan entries will also be exhibited at the Negros Trade Fair on September 23-28 at the Glorietta mall in Makati City.
