OUR Mom's homemade dishes have always been the food for the Filipino soul. I certainly look forward to my mother's cooking after a busy week of preparing meals for other people.

At Pahanocoy Eco Adventure Park, I like to bring that feeling of nostalgia through the food I prepare. Tahong Bringhe is as natural and comforting as it gets. This twist to the regular old fried rice is truly decadent yet straightforward. It definitely reminds you of the flavors of home.



1 ½ cup rice (Dinorado or Jasmine) 255 g
¼ cup Kakang gata 60 mL
¼ pc green papaya, peeled and cut into cubes 75 g
¼ kg tahong 10 pcs (250 g)
1 tsp tanglad, chopped and crushed 3 g
½ tsp ginger, grated 3 g
1 ½ cup water 370 ml
1 pouch Ginisa Mix 10 g
2 tbsp patis, 30 mL
1 pc Pandan leaf, fresh and tied 3 g


1. Wash rice and drain three times.
2. Add the water, gata, tanglad, ginger, ginisa mix and patis.
3. Add the rest of the ingredients
4. Steam until done. Serve hot.
