Life begins at 40

THE motif of the 40th birthday celebration of Edmund Azucena goes along with his theme, “Celebration of Life.”

As I arrived at the summer-inspired Zuu KTV’s Roofdeck Lounge Bar in Bacolod owned by his brother, Emil, I saw white linens draping from all over the ceiling.

I then settled in a nicer area where the table used to be a banca, and wines and whiskeys spread on the table, giving more color to his birthday cake.

When the sumptuous dishes, including the giant lechon, were served, I was reminded by my good and talented friend, Chino Christophers, not too eat much because of my high blood pressure. But that was one of the few nights when I told myself, “Just this time, I will forego dieting.”

Edmund finished elementary and high school at the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Victorias City. He finished college at the University of the Philippines with a degree in Biology.

He is currently based in Jeddah in the Middle East where he is working as a cosmetic scientist.

As he celebrated his 40th birthday, Edmund is thankful to God Almighty for the abundant blessings—life, love, family and friends.

For him what better way to celebrate this major milestone—the “big four-oh!” — than with his loved ones.

Indeed, he was the happiest guy on that day for his family and friends, who are full of life and love, were there to celebrate the very special day with a good and gentle guy, Edmund.

Celebrate the final end of summer with "Wild Water Weekend," a pool party at Hi Residences Clubhouse on June 7, Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. of the next day.
