SUMMER 2014 in The City of Smiles under Bacolod Mayor Monico Puentevella is indeed a summer to remember.

So many activities were lined up under the management of Councilor Kalaw Puentevella and Rocky Puentevella and it made our beloved city more colorful and fun.

Summer is about to close but before we bid adieu to this season, there’s one big party to rock Bacolod tomorrow, May 31, at the Bacolod Baywak, starting 3 p.m.

It’s called “RESET6100: Urban Art Exhibition and Music Festival,” the first of its kind in Bacolod City that will showcase the skills and abilities of local artists and various talents set in a musical backdrop by international guests and local DJs.

“Being held at one of Bacolod’s best settings (Baywalk), our aim is to show the truly vibrant, passionate, and energetic culture of the City of Smiles though this festival,” the organizers said.

Activities include an art exhibit from various local artists, and live street competitions (skateboarding, longboarding, BMX), fire dancing, fixie bicycle exhibition, drum circle, Electric Maskarrave dancers with full costumes, graffiti murals, RC planes, kite-flying, photo booth, tattoo exhibition, local arts and crafts, marching bands and more.

The highlight of this event is the music party which will be headlined by international guest DJs from Guam, Manila, Australia, San Francisco and London joined by our local DJs performing on a beautiful stage setup that represents Bacolod’s world renowned MassKara Festival built around a massive set up of lights, state of the art sound, and the stunning sunset view at the Baywalk.

The DJ lineup includes VEGA (San Francisco), PharmDJ (Guam), Sal Saqeb (London), Emel Rowe (Sydney), Martin Pulgar (Republiq Club, Manila), Elmer Dado (Team Switch Philippines / Grupo Tribale), Jack Stone (Labeled Cebu / Groove Philippines), Clyde Harris (Oil Lounge / 6AM Group Asia), Jao Varela (Dugout, Bacolod City), Ben Thomson (Dugout, Bacolod City), Eric Gella (Flow, Iloilo City), Anton Gacuma (Oil Lounge / Mushu Bacolod), and Leandro Zayco (Bacolod City / Patiqueros).

One of the major presenters is the BLU Energy Drink. Their pretty marketing manager, Jodge Ledesma, is in the city and she told me that BLU is just new in the country and they are starting to introduce the brand in the market.

BLU tastes so good—it is refreshing and adds more energy.

Miss Jodge is accompanied by the very good-looking owner of Blu Energy Drink who is from Israel. He informed me that Blu comes from Poland and they are bringing Fabio Ide, their official model endorser, this Saturday at Munsterific at 5 p.m. and also at RESET.

For RESET, the general admission is P100. The ticket for the gate is P350, which includes general admission access.

Let’s celebrate the end of summer by joining RESET and spread the good vibes as we party.
