THE slogan of Rotary International, “Service Above Self,” inspires Rotarians all over the world to extend help to deserving communities here and abroad.
As Rotarians, these service-oriented individuals play the role of providing or locating resources that are needed to assist children and adults in various communities.
The Rotary Club of Bacolod South continues to serve the residents of various barangays in the southern cities of Negros Occidental.
Recently the club’s Operation ‘Tuli’ has provided hundreds of beneficiaries in Himamaylan City and Bago City.
On Mother’s Day, more than 200 adults were thankful for the medical services of the Club on FBS Blood Sugar Free Check and Blood Pressure Check held at The District North Point, an Ayala mall in Talisay City.
These mothers who availed of the medical services were given fresh roses by the club.
Led by Club president Tata Lacson and president-elect Doc Chris Sorongon, the Operation ‘Tuli’ was in partnership with the members of the Order of Asclepius of the Western Visayas State University (Iloilo) – Medicine.
Their members came to Negros Occidental served voluntarily with the Rotary Club of Bacolod South that provided the needed medicines and equipment.
