CHILDREN of Sikat Academy shined in their singing and dancing performances during their grand finale at Robinsons Place Bacolod last May 22.

Sikat Academy is considered the biggest 4-in-1 summer workshop in Bacolod, under the tutelage of TV host Charie Ginete-Ilon and her partner-artists. It offers singing, dancing, acting and speech classes.

In a jam-packed venue at the fountain area of the mall, Junior Playshop kids aged three to five danced to the popular soundtrack of the movie Frozen after they have shown strong stage presence and confidence in their self-introduction.

The kids in Junior Playshop dressed like their favorite characters in the movie Frozen. Some girls looked like Anna while others were very regal in their gown like Elsa. The boys donned the costumes of Kristoff and Hans.

On the other hand, the graduates of the Sikat Academy performed like superstars in the Grand Finale.

The participants themselves hosted the show and sang to well-liked songs of this generation like “Love is an Open Door,” “Burn,” “Let it Go” and “Counting Stars.” They have undergone basic voice training with Joel Teodoro and Kulay Pikata.

Their acting abilities, honed by acting teacher Alf Alacapa, were also shown in a widescreen during breaks.

Finally, the class brought the house down with their dance numbers namely “I love It,” “Timber,” “Happy” and “Dare” choreographed by their dance teacher Rodney Ascalon.

Parents and students alike were glad to have been part of Sikat Academy, dubbed the brightest summer workshop in Bacolod.
