THE recently concluded 35th MassKara Festival of Bacolod City was made more colorful and festive with the visit of some of the brightest stars of GMA Kapuso Network.

Celebrating the MassKara were the hosts and judges of GMA’s reality talent search, Bet ng Bayan, composed of hosts Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Alden Richards, and board of judges Pop Diva Kuh Ledesma, renowned musician Louie Ocampo, and Eat Bulaga host Allan K.

Ledesma and Allan K (Allan Quilantang in real life) are from Bacolod.

Bet ng Bayan held its regional showdown on October 18 at the Government Center.

Velasquez, a first-timer in Bacolod, entertained the Bacoleños by belting out high notes, as she is famous for, while Richards, lead actor of the newly launched Ilustrado, also entertained the crowd with song numbers.

Joining them were the cast of Strawberry Lane and Hiram na Alaala.

Strawberry Lane’s stars -- love team Bea Binene and Jake Vargas, Kim Rodriguez, and versatile actresses Sheryl Cruz and Sunshine Dizon -- held a mall show at SM City on October 17.

On October 18, Kris Bernal, Rocco Nacino, and Lauren Young of Hiram na Alaala bannered the Kapuso Meet and Greet at the Government Center.

Their show was a prelude to the Charter Day Countdown.

“GMA Network, year after year, is more excited than ever to be part of the MassKara Festival,” said Oliver Amoroso, GMA’s assistant vice president for Regional TV.

“It is through celebrations like this that we get to extend our gratitude to the Bacoleños for ceaselessly supporting GMA,” he added.

The highlights of GMA’s participation in this year’s MassKara Festival can be seen via Let’s Fiesta! today, October 26, airing in all nine GMA stations including Bacolod.
