GMA Kapuso primetime queen Marian Rivera wowed his fans in Bacolod and the rest of Negros Occidental at the Kapuso Fans’ Day at Robinsons Place last Saturday, August 30.

Rivera, who hosts a weekly musical variety show titled Marian in her home network, delighted the Bacolod audience with her energetic performance.

She sang a number of songs with a bit of dancing, and had a photo opportunity with some fans.

A day after, Rivera posted a photo on her Instagram with the following caption: “Madamo guid nga salamat sa tanan nga taga Bacolod nga nagkadto sa Mall Show. Nalipay guid ko sa inyo mainit nga pagbaton! Indi ko guid paglipatan ang inyo matam-is nga mga yuhom. Tubtob sa dason naton nga pagkitaay. Palangga ko guid kamo tanan.”

In a press briefing prior to the show, Rivera told the Bacolod press that she always joins GMA Regional TV events because she wants to meet her fans in the provinces and personally thank them for their support.

Oliver Amoroso, head of GMA Network’s Integrated Marketing Services Division and assistant vice president for Regional TV, said the Kapuso Fans Day is GMA’s treat to Rivera’s supporters for their unwavering support for her and for the network.

Meanwhile, Rivera, who was recently engaged to fellow Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes, said they are busy preparing for their wedding on Dec. 30 this year.

The three-time FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World actress said the wedding will be held at the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Cubao, where Dantes was baptized.

She said they already have a complete list of principal sponsors but refused to name them yet.

Dantes proposed to the 29-year-old actress on national television last August 9.

Asked how she felt, Rivera said, “For a guy to announce nationwide that you are the answer to his prayers, that he wants to spend the rest of his life with you, and that he wants you to be his wife, that made me feel so happy.”

Rivera said it was actually the second proposal from Dantes. The first was in Macau in August 2012. But after that, they each went back to their regular and erratic routines.

This time he got it right, she said.
