JONES Lang La Salle (JLL) country head David Leechiu has mentioned Bacolod City as one of the emerging provincial commercial districts that is being eyed by various real estate companies and institutions.

During the 5th Regional Development Council Private Sector Representatives National Convention in Iloilo City earlier this month, Leechiu mentioned Bacolod alongside Baguio, Tarlac, Bulacan, Iloilo, Dumaguete, Zamboanga, Pampanga, Laguna, Cebu and Davao as among the cities outside of Metro Manila that are under the radar of real estate investors.

Leechiu added that financiers are looking for a new wave city with quality graduates and that offers less cost in doing business.

Investors are also tapping cities with “enforceable, implementable and sensible” master plan that would serve as concrete pillars for a business establishment to expand and grow together with the city.

Jones Lang La Salle Inc. is a professional services and investment management company that specializes in real estate, including capital markets, property management, facilities management and outsourcing, project and development management and consulting and investment management.

The firm is headquartered in Chicago, while sub-headquarters operate in London, covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Singapore, covering the Asia Pacific regional market. (PR)
