THE Court of Appeals (CA) Sixth Division denied on Monday a motion of the Office of Solicitor General to stop the hearing on the restraining order issued in favor of Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay Jr.

During the hearing, the OSG invoked judicial courtesy of an existing petition at the Supreme Court (SC) filed by the Office of the Ombudsman.

Revilla seeks court permission to attend daughter’s graduation

THE camp of detained Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. has asked the Sandiganbayan first division to allow him to attend the graduation ceremonies of his daughter in Muntinlupa City on March 28.

In a motion, Revilla asked the court to allow him to leave his detention facility from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. or until the graduation rites is finished.

House sees bill on lower tax rates OK’d by June

THE House of Representatives will likely pass the bill seeking to lower income-tax rates for individuals before end of Congress' second regular session on June 11.
