Quake prompts mayor’s order

A QUAKE that struck minutes before 10 a.m. yesterday prompted Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama to order the faster construction of emergency exits in public schools.

It was fortunate, Rama said, that most schools were no longer holding classes when the earthquake occurred.

2 men face charge for slay attempt on Babag captain

AN ATTEMPTED murder complaint was filed against two men who tried to kill Babag Barangay Captain Cesar Dolorito last Wednesday on Don Gil Garcia St., Cebu City.

The suspects, Charles Garces and Froilan Orlanez, opted not to file a counter-affidavit so the complaint will now be elevated to the Regional Trial Court.
